Friends Of Chevin Forest Park Group Photography Competition 2007/2008
The Friends Of Chevin Forest Park are pleased to announce the first ever Chevin Photo Competition.

Subject:  Seasons - Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer
Opening Date:  Sunday 15th October 2006 at 10.00hrs.
Closing Date:  Closed (Sunday 14th October 2007 at 5pm)
Eligibility:  Open to all visitors of all ages using either digital or film cameras. The competition will be judged in the following groups: Under 11's, 12 to 16 and Over 16's

Competition Details:  The aim of the competition is to create a 2008 calendar, which will be published late 2007, containing the winning images from each group. The Friends Of Group, which is not-for-profit, will then use these calendars to generate funds which will be used within the Forest Park to improve amenities for all visitors and to cover costs of ongoing projects.
Competition Rules:  All submitted images must be taken within the boundaries of the Chevin Forest Park within the dates specified above. Images taken outside of these dates can not be accepted. Only one image per person per season (a total of 4 images per person for the whole competition) may be submitted. Winners will be notified by post and their details published on the Chevin Forest website. All submitted images may be published on the Chevin Forest Park Gallery page for vieiwing, and you give your permission for your images to be used in this way. Full accreditation will be given to the person taking the photograph - please ensure you submit this information with your image.
Judges:  The judges will be the Committee of the Friends Of Chevin Forest Park Group. The images will be judged not on technical ability but on the content of the photograph and it's relation to the Forest Park. The decision or the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. A list of all the winners may be obtained by writing to the address on the Entry form, or by visiting the Chevin Forest website.
Entry:  Entry may be by emailing your photographs to competition@chevinforest.co.uk or by post to the addresses on the contact page. All entries must be submitted by the closing date in either digital format or where a film camera has been used, a printed or scanned photograph.
Prizes:  This competition is all about fun, the role of the Friends Of Chevin Forest Park Group and taking a good look at what is actually in the Chevin Forest Park. Each winner will receive a copy of the completed calendar showing their winning image.
