Seed Gathering Workshop
18/09/2022
Join the Leeds City Council Woodland Creation team for a day out collecting seeds on Otley Chevin!
Our rangers will help you to find ‘the big four’ – conkers, sweet chestnut, acorns and beech nuts – in addition to other tree seeds that can be a little trickier to identify. They will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about woodlands in and around Leeds, and how your trees might one day form part of a new woodland.
Sign up via Eventbrite here.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothes and shoes. Bring any refreshments you may need for the duration of the event. A meet-point will be emailed to all participants before the event, so please sign up with an email address you check regularly. In respect to other members of the public, if you can no longer attend the event, please let us know as far in advance as possible, so that we may offer the place to somebody else.
If you would like to hear about future seed gathering events in Leeds, please email woodlandcreation@leeds.gov.uk and ask to be added to the mailing list. Happy seed hunting!
